Surface Book Is Twice As Powerful As MacBook Pro, Confirms Microsoft

During Microsoft’s announcement, the company unveiledits first ever notebook called Surface Book in order to complement its Surface Pro 4. Now the company has unveiled some interesting facts about its first ever notebook concerning its performance.

Surface Book Is Twice As Powerful As MacBook Pro, According To The Company

During the company’s announcement, Panos Panay stated the following:

“Ounce-for-ounce, pound-for-pound, this is the fastest 13-inch laptop ever made anywhere on any planet”.

The second statement that the executive said was that the 13.5 inch notebook was twice as powerful as Apple’s MacBook Pro. According to a source, when Microsoft was approached to give further details regarding its earlier statement regarding the performance of Surface Book, the company stated the following:

The aforementioned model happens to be second most powerful configured Surface Book and the grand total that you will be paying for that in order to experience such performance is .  This particular model features 512GB of internal storage, while the
$3,199 model has 1TB of storage. The base model of the notebook starts from $1,499 and in this, you will receive a Core-i5 Skylake processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The machine also has a PixelSense touchscreen display that measures in at 3000 by 2000 pixels and it is running Windows 10 Professional ‘out of the box’.

The retail packaging of Surface Book will also include a Surface Pen, which according to Microsoft, has 1,024 levels of pressure and can mimic the functionality of an actual pen by providing a seamlessly easy way to use it on both the notebook and the company’s newly announced tablet. Last, but certainly not least, Surface Book is running NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX950M graphics processor in order to give you the much needed performance in graphically intensive applications.

Overall, the product is something very new to the market in terms of its design, but if you want to experience twice the amount of performance as compared to Apple’s MacBook Pro, then you will be required to spend an exorbitant amount of funds.
